Real Life Stories is not run as a commercial enterprise. It is not a profit-motivated functioning business, and it does not adhere to service level agreements of any kind.
Because Real Life Stories is not a profit-motivated business, there is no promise that support will be regularly attended to. Customer communication happens only by email, and only when there is capacity to respond. If you write to us, a reply may take a long time or may not come at all.
Administration of Real Life Stories will be increasingly automated, with the deliberate aim of reducing human involvement to zero. Problem-solving is approximately 95% handled by AI. This means the answers you receive are most likely generated by software, not written by a person.
There is no human operations team waiting behind the service. You should not rely on a person becoming available to resolve your particular situation.
Deadlines do not exist for this project. No date promised, implied, or estimated for a feature, a fix, a delivery, or a response forms any part of an agreement. Work happens when it happens.
Legal and financial compliance, and any continuing obligations owed to people who have paid for services, will be attended to at a snail's pace. They will be attended to eventually, but slowly, and without the urgency a commercial operation would apply.
If you have paid for a service, your entitlement is not forgotten — it is simply processed at the unhurried pace of a non-commercial project.
Payments made on Real Life Stories (for example, the fee to edit a book you bring into Real Life Stories) unlock the features described at the point of purchase. Those payments are processed by our payment provider, and the editing they unlock is delivered automatically.
Everything else in these terms still applies: requests for help with a payment, a refund, or anything else are handled by email, when there is capacity, without deadlines.
